Our Cottages

The cottages which make up Starlight Barns are situated within 5.5 acres of peaceful, private and secluded land just north of the Cornish capital Truro. This beautifully developed site meets the highest quality of cleanliness and safety standards with superbly kept gardens, which enjoy a blissfully peaceful and private location overlooking farmland. The grounds are well maintained by Sarah the owner and her gardener Paul. He maintains the grounds including a Zen garden which guests are welcome to use. There is a fragrant garden just beyond the Zen garden and a path network through the woodland and meadow area. There is lots of exercise space and rest benches on which to meditate and a pond which has a fitted safety cover. It is a safe place for the children to play and the adults to unwind over a glass of wine after a long day out and about.

The location is very central and therefore ideal for those wanting to explore the beautiful and varied county of Cornwall during their stay. This delightful and extremely well presented collection of cottages are less than 10 miles to the spectacular beaches of the North Coast, yet the cathedral city of Truro is less than a 10 minute drive away with its superb selection of shops and restaurants.

Built around 20 years ago this beautiful selection of holiday accommodations have every amenity to make your holiday let the perfect retreat.

If you are looking for a holiday in Cornwall, the cottages of Starlight Barns are available to rent weekly all year round but please feel free to ask us if you wish to stay for a different amount of days.    

The nearest village of St Erme is four miles north of Truro. Here you will find St Erme Church, Trispen Methodist Church, a Post Office and Stores for stocking up on essentials. The church tower and font are believed to be 750 years old but the church itself was built in 1500's and the Methodist Church was built in 1846.

Starlight Barns feature:

• Lighthouse Cottage - 2 double and 1 single bedrooms (1 double en-suite toilet - Sleeps 5)

• Sunlight Cottage - 1 double and 1 twin bedroom (Sleeps 4)

• Moonlight Studio - 1 double bedroom (Sleeps 2)

• The cottages can be rented individually or if you have a large party we can accommodate you as one large group - up to a total of 11 people

• All accommodation is maintained to an excellent standard

• All properties have a modern fitted shower room

• Bathroom towels included and shower safety mat

• Hairdryer

• Over, hob and grill

• Fully fitted kitchen including all cooking utensils, cutlery, glasses, bottle opener/corkscrew, microwave and toaster

• Tea towels, oven gloves, cleaning cloths, cleaning materials and recycling bag
