About me

My name is Sarah and I am the proprietor of Starlight Barns (or you could say Star Lets as that’s the business name) and I love to sail.  I was born in Cornwall and grew up in Truro but moved away to university.  My career was in Human Resources and I worked for a variety of organisations from Del Monte to Warner Bros, the film company.  I spent 13 years in Los Angeles and returned back to the UK in 2011 to marry.  I moved back to Cornwall in March 2020 when we bought Starlight Barns. It’s where my heart is.  One of the perks for me of owning holiday homes is the people I meet - they stay here and love the properties, views, location and the gardens as much as I do. My cats and I look forward to welcoming you to my home.

Meet the family

Meet Coco - she’s 9 years old, a British Blue and is a bit snooty.  She loves to sleep all day, venture out around her kingdom and come back in to sleep some more.

Helping me keep the grounds of Starlight Barns in immaculate order is Paul Stimpson our gardener. We also have Vicky B'ee our housekeeper who keeps all the properties in tip top condition ready for the next visitors.

And finally…

Many of you who have stayed with me before would have met Tai - she lived at Starlight Barn and was a cross between a pug and a Jack Russell - a ‘Jug’! She loved nothing more than a good walk and being made a fuss by all the new visitors but she is sadly no longer with us. RIP Tai we’ll all miss you x
