Chapel Porth has always been a special place for me. Growing up in Truro, we would often go here as a family; bodyboarding, exploring caves and walking up to Wheal Coates tin mine to drop stones down the shaft.
When I met my wife Helen, the first place I took her to was Chapel Porth in winter and she immediately loved its wild beauty with the sea foaming up over the beach and car park. We carried on the family tradition bringing our children here when they were young and introduced them to the fantastic hedgehog ice cream from the beach cafe; Cornish ice cream, clotted cream and crushed hazelnuts. Wow!
This is a beach to visit all year round and each season brings a different feel to this wonderful place.
